Adventure in Rio Cangrejal:

This area is a hiker’s paradise. We explored lush rainforest trails, crossed suspension bridges, and soaked in panoramic views that honestly felt untouched. But the highlight? White-water rafting. The rapids on the Cangrejal River are no joke — thrilling, safe, and just the right amount of wild. We’re still buzzing from it.

And after all the action? We’d retreat to some of the most unique guest rooms we’ve ever experienced — each built into the natural surroundings, with local materials, open-air layouts, and thoughtful little touches that made it feel like we were truly living in the jungle (but with all the comforts we could want). Falling asleep to the sound of the river and waking up to toucans and misty mountains? Unreal.

Snorkeling:

We knew Roatan was near the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, but we were blown away by the snorkeling. Crystal-clear waters, thriving coral, and sea life everywhere — turtles, rays, schools of colorful fish. It rivaled anything we’ve seen in the Caribbean.

Having spent so much time in the area, Jess is the ideal guide to build your dream getaway. From start to finish, she provided excellent guidance, expansive ideas, and genuine enthusiasm. Jess organized an unforgettable retreat to Honduras! We started with a stay on the island of Roatan in a stunning waterfront home featuring water views, beautiful nightly sunsets, and easy access to dozens of restaurants. Jess set us up with knowledgable guides for everything from exceptional snorkeling experiences (the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef is a must snorkeling location) to Mangrove tunnel tours to a wildlife sanctuary visit where we got up close and personal with sloths, monkeys and gorgeous birds. Every detail was expertly handled by Jess. We continued our adventure with a two-day excursion to La Ceiba on mainland Honduras, where we stayed in the most charming jungle lodge on the Rio Cangregal. Jess made sure everything was handled, guiding us on transportation and activities. We loved reconnecting mind and body in this magical place where we enjoyed hiking, river-rafting and just existing amid the breathtaking wildlife and nature you really have to see to believe. This trip was the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. We’re looking forward to having Jess plan our next Central American experience!

Jessica shared the magic of Roatan and put together experiences that hi-lighted all the island had to offer. We not only experienced the beauty of this barrier reef oasis but also were immersed in the culture and history. We fell in love with the laid back nature of the island people and the way we were treated by everyone we encountered.
